I've recently spent considerable time working with dancers in and near the central Indiana area.  There are several great dance programs and companies nearby.  Dancers arguably have the most perfect physiques and a  recent project tried to demonstrate just that.  On this page are several photographs from these sessions.  The dancers were able to move from poses, leaps, and maneuvers that demonstrated strength and athleticism to those that showed emotion and grace without difficulty.  At the end of the sessions I was greatly more fatigued than the dancers.  The common thread through all of these sessions was fun.  These are creative, energetic, hard-working people and we laughed a great deal during these shoots.  The photographs on this page are some that I like a lot but didn't make it into the final project (only because there were so many good ones).  Photographs from the dance project that I've named "Attitude!" made their debut at Echo Gallery in Chicago on May 31, 2003 and were exhibited there again in 2004.  Go to their site and click on the "snapshots" page to see photographs from the opening.  You've got to visit this gallery if you're in Chicago! Photographs from the series have been purchased by Willem Photographic in Monterey, California. Four photographs from the "Attitude!" series are included in the book "Naked" published by Feierabend Publishers.  That book can be ordered on amazon.com here.    Photographs from the series were part of an exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Ft. Collins Colorado.  Shooting for this project is essentially complete but I am always interested in working with dancers with extensive training or experience.  Visit the contact page if you're interested.
