DeWeese Photographic Arts Landscapes
The first photograph on the page is the second street bridge in Columbus, Indiana. I am not an architectural photographer but this has easily been my best selling photograph. The second is the African Museum in Brussels, Belgium. (Surely you remember the Billy Joel song that included the line "we've got Belgians in the Congo".) Next is a door in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm fascinated with that door . . . I shoot it every time I go to Santa Fe. The third is a barn on the farm next to ours. The history of the last 100 years of Indiana weather are etched in the wood of that barn. The fourth is a shot from our back yard taken by Deb (she's the real artist in the family) on a very cold winter morning. The second row is a series shot at Magnolia Plantation in Charleston, SC on Jan. 1, 2000, with a hangover; I suffered for art that day! The first and second in the third row are steps in San Antonio, Texas. The third is sunrise in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the next two are sunrise in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The last is taken at Tent Rocks near Santa Fe, New Mexico. The photograph on the left at the bottom is at Jenny Lake in Teton National Park. The snow scene is our backyard, a shot of Anderson Falls in Bartholomew County, Indiana taken with infrared film and finally a photograph taken on a ghost tour in Charleston, SC.
